“When you dance, you can enjoy the luxury of being you.” – Paulo Coelho
I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t dancing. Even before I knew what rhythm was, my feet would tap, my hands would move, and my heart would sync with the beat of life. Dance isn’t just something I do-it’s who I am.
I’m Vidhi, a dancer, a storyteller, and the heart behind Celebration in Steps. I took my first real step into dance at the age of five, and since then, every beat, every move, every style has become a part of me. Over the years, I’ve trained in multiple dance forms, but Kathak remains my soul dance-the one that grounds me, connects me to tradition, and makes me feel the rhythm beyond just music. With 3.5 years of training and a Senior Diploma, Kathak has taught me discipline, grace, and the art of storytelling through movement.
But dance isn’t meant to be confined to just one style. It’s a language that speaks in many forms, and I’ve let myself explore them all-Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Whacking, Jazz, Salsa, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Bhangra, and Giddha. Each style has its own energy, its own emotion, its own way of expressing what words cannot.
For me, dance is not just about learning steps. It’s about feeling the music, losing yourself in the rhythm, and finding yourself in the movement. It’s about confidence, self-expression, and the pure joy of moving without fear.
Why “Celebration in Steps”?
Because I believe dance is a celebration-not just of movement, but of life itself. Whether you want to dance for fun, learn something new, or reconnect with yourself through movement, I’m here to guide you. No rules, no limits-just you, the music, and the freedom to move in your own way.
“To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak.” – Indian Proverb
So, let’s dance. Let’s celebrate. And let’s make every step count. ❤️
